Drug PTI / Misdemeanor Drug Awareness Evaluation & Education

Suncoast Safety Council, Inc. provides misdemeanor drug evaluation and education for those clients that are screened for eligibility through the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Misdemeanor Probation Unit. The program consists of a one (1) hour face-to-face evaluation and a twelve (12) hour education component.

The one (1) hour evaluation is completed by experienced certified evaluators who use empirically proven assessment tools and a comprehensive psychosocial to determine risk of re-offending.

The twelve (12) hour education curriculum includes two evidenced based modules. The first section provides information about the primary, chronic and progressive disease of addiction. The second section offers practical information about sleep, nutrition, finances, time management, and stress management.

All payments are due at time of registration. The cost of the evaluation is $50.00. The cost of the class is $100. There is also a $1.50 breath test fee. Noise-induced hearing loss is one of the most common occupational diseases. Always wear your recommended equipment to prevent hearing loss (canal caps, earplugs or earmuffs), which may vary depending on the noise level and work environment. If you are uncertain, ask. If you have to shout over noise to be heard on or off the job, that noise could be damaging your hearing.
