DUI Program

Suncoast Safety Council DUI Program

Suncoast Safety Council is the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) licensed provider of the DUI program for persons convicted of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol or other drugs who live, work, or attend school in Pinellas County. Educational classes and an evaluation are mandated (Florida Statute 316.193) for persons convicted of DUI and Florida Statute 322.271 Administrative Suspension.

The Level I DUI program is designed for individuals who have had one alcohol and/or drug related traffic arrest/conviction in their lifetime.

The Level II DUI program is designed for clients who have been arrested and/or convicted of more than one alcohol, and/or drug related traffic offense in a lifetime, and/or, have previously attended a DUI Level I Drug and Alcohol Education Course, and/or have been convicted of two or more times of an offense requiring DUI program attendance.
